The Role:
As Assistant Site Manager, working closely with the Site Manager, you will be playing a key role in the smooth delivery of a live housing development. You’ll support day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring trades, direct labour, and materials are coordinated effectively to meet the build programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the on-site Construction Team is fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines and support in communication, training, and development.
- Support the Site Manager in coordinating trades, direct labour, and materials to meet the production programme.
- Work in conjunction with the Sales Team, ensuring regular Sales/Build meetings are attended, and all procedures are adhered to.
- Accept responsibility for duties as determined by the Site Manager, and deputise for the Site Manager when required.
- Deliver excellent customer service to customers in line with company guidelines.
What We’re Looking For:
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Experience of working within established build programs.
- Knowledge of NHBC standards and customer care processes.
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
- Confident communication skills and a willingness to learn and take guidance.
- Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs.
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or NVQ level qualification in Construction Management, or considerable experience as a time-served tradesman.
- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of the construction trade and relevant legislative requirements.
- Good knowledge, understanding, and experience of dealing with customer service issues.
